My crazy family needs to be a sitcom…and my even more crazy extended family needs to be a HBO series.
To Dan: Valdez Troop Update Week 2
Dan has now been gone a whole 3 weeks, and rarely calls or emails anymore, so she must be having the time of her life. Before she left, she kept trying to push back the date or cancel all together, because she knew how sad she was going to be leaving us, but she kept saying “I hope I have so much fun, I don’t want to come back home”. Well I guess that is turning out to be true. Every time I have gone away from home, I start out having so much fun because everything is new and interesting. Then I go through my homesick phase when I realize how much I am missing out on. But I always strive to find balance between being gone and being involved in my family’s life back home, and always end up crying on my plane rides leaving some foreign adventure, swearing I will return for my foreign lovers. Anyways, I guess she is doing well. Here is our Valdez Troop Update Week 2. It is late, and there will probably not be a week 3, because I am on vacay in Miami and have no idea what is going on back home. Love you Daniella.
We have all survived one week with Daniella gone in Peru. It is her first time away from home, so we didn’t really know how we would handle it. I know how hard it gets being away from the young ones, so we decided to keep Daniella updated on our day to day lives. Here is week 1.
I really need to document my parents more. If you ever met them, you all of a sudden realize why I am so crazy. Here are just some typical parent moments.
My mom will never live down this story.
Being back living at home has its ups and downs for me as well as the kids. One up is that they get to have me do their homework. Here is Karina’s 8th grade US history video for Mr. Horning’s class (I have now officially been making movies for his class for 11 years including me and Daniella, and I still have Selina and Anthony to go).
Another Typical Selina Moment.
Our cousin Roni comes over…
Roni(16 yrs old): I just got my license!
Selina(10 yrs old): I am President of my school.

Typical night home hanging out with my 9 year sister Selina while everybody else was out partying (Dan partying, Karina partying, Mom partying, Anthony…Anthony who?–bro who is never home) Disclaimer: We do not condone smoking…only when it is for looking cool.
